an der Leibinger Professur Transkulturelle Musikpädagogik und Musikvermittlung
in Teilzeit (50%, TVöD-Bund EG 13),
befristet bis zum 31.12.2026 (mit Option auf Verlängerung).
Die Barenboim-Said Akademie (BSA) mit Sitz in Berlin ist eine private, staatlich anerkannte Hochschule, an der seit 2016 begabte Studierende vorwiegend aus dem Nahen Osten und Nordafrika eine musika lische und geisteswissenschaftliche Ausbildung erhalten, die mit dem Bachelor of Music oder dem Mas ter of Music abschließt. Die Unterrichts- und Verkehrssprache der BSA ist Englisch.
Die neu gegründete Leibinger Professur für Transkulturelle Musikvermittlung und Musikpädagogik zielt darauf ab, junge Musiker:innen mit neuen Ideen und Fähigkeiten auszustatten, die ihnen helfen, kreative Führungspersönlichkeiten in einem dynamischen kulturellen Umfeld zu werden und Werte wie künstlerisches Unternehmertum, Offenheit, soziales Bewusstsein und Aktivismus in die Praxis um zusetzen. Die Professur wird durch die Berthold Leibinger Stiftung gefördert.
Als wissenschaftlich-künstlerische:r Mitarbeiter:in der Leibinger Professur haben Sie die Möglichkeit, aktiv an der Weiterentwicklung und Ge staltung der innovativen Projekte in den Bereichen Musikper formance, Musikvermittlung und Musik pädagogik mitzuwirken. Zusätzlich ist ein eigener, im Fachbe reich angesiedelter Forschungsansatz so wie ein bestehendes, ausbaufähiges Netzwerk von Vorteil.
Ihre Aufgaben:
- Projektentwicklung und -management, einschließlich interner/externer Kommunikation, Pflege und Ausbau von Partnernetzwerken sowie Antragstellung, Fördermittelakquise und kre ativer Erweiterung von Fördermöglichkeiten
- Akademische und institutionelle Vernetzung: Ausbau und Pflege universitärer Netzwerke so wie Kooperationen mit Kultur- und Bildungseinrichtungen in Berlin, deutschlandweit und in der Region Naher Osten (u. a. Music Center in Ramallah, Musikschulen und Konzerthäuser in Israel, Palästina und angrenzenden Staaten)
- Unterstützung bei Produktion und künstlerischer Entwicklung von Formaten/Events (z. B. „Per sonal Note“, Konzertreihe im Jüdischen Krankenhaus, Abschlusskonzert
- Willkommensklassen-Projekt, Graduation Ceremony) und Einbringen eigener Ideen
Unterrichtstätigkeit in bestehenden Lehrformaten sowie Durchführung von Blockseminaren oder Workshops zu eigenen Schwerpunkten (Bachelor und Preparatory Program) - Präsentations-, Publikations- und Texterstellung in repräsentativen, akademischen Kontex ten
Forschung und Entwicklung im Bereich Musikpädagogik und -vermittlung - Mit- und Weiterentwicklung der Leibinger-Professur inhaltlich und strategisch
Ihr Profil:
- Abgeschlossenes Masterstudium oder gleichwertiger Abschluss in einem relevanten Fach
Hervorragende Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift; Deutschkenntnisse sind wünschens wert. Weitere Sprachen sind von Vorteil - Ausgeprägtes pädagogisches Interesse und Freude daran, junge Menschen in ihrem Werde gang zu begleiten
- Fähigkeit zu selbstständigem, strukturiertem Arbeiten und sicherer Priorisierung paralleler Projekte
- Hohe Sensibilität, Diskretion und Professionalität in diversen Kontexten
- Vertrautheit mit aktuellen Herausforderungen der musikalischen Ausbildung
Forschungsinteresse und Erfahrung in musikpädagogischer Arbeit - Identifikation mit den Werten und Zielen der Barenboim-Said Akademie

The Barenboim-Said Akademie (BSA), based in Berlin, is a private, state-accredited university of music at which, since 2016, talented students, primarily from the Middle East and North Africa, receive mu sical and humanities education leading to a Bachelor of Music or Master of Music degree. The language of instruction and communication at the BSA is English.
The newly established Leibinger Professorship for Transcultural Music Education and Outreach aims to equip young musicians with new ideas and skills that help them become creative leaders in a dynamic cultural environment and translate values such as artistic entrepreneurship, openness, social awareness, and activism into practice. The professorship is funded by the Berthold Leibinger Stiftung.
As Academic and Artistic Associate of the Leibinger Professorship, you will have the opportunity to play an active role in the further development and design of innovative projects in the fields of music per formance, music outreach, and music education. In addition, an individual research profile within these fields as well as an existing, expandable professional network are desirable.
Your responsibilities
- Project development and management, including internal and external communication, maintenance and expansion of partner networks, as well as preparing applications, fundrais-ing, and creatively expanding funding opportunities
- Academic and institutional networking: development and maintenance of university net works and cooperation with cultural and educational institutions in Berlin, across Germany, and in the Middle East region (including the Music Center in Ramallah and music schools and concert halls in Israel, Palestine, and neighboring countries)
- Supporting the production and artistic development of formats/events (e.g. “Personal Note”, concert series at the Jüdisches Krankenhaus, final concert of the Welcome Classes project, graduation ceremony) and contributing your own ideas
- Teaching in existing courses as well as offering block seminars or workshops related to your own areas of expertise (Bachelor and Preparatory Program)
- Presentations, publications, and text production in representative and academic contexts
- Research and development in the field of music education and outreach
- Co-development and strategic advancement of the Leibinger Professorship in terms of con tent and direction
Your profile
- Completed master’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
Excellent command of English, both spoken and written; German language skills are de sirable. Additional languages are an asset - Strong pedagogical interest and enthusiasm for supporting young people in their professional and artistic development
- Ability to work independently and in a well-structured manner, with confident prioritization of parallel projects
- High degree of sensitivity, discretion, and professionalism in diverse contexts
Familiarity with current challenges in musical education and training - Research interest and experience in music education and/or outreach
- Identification with the values and mission of the Barenboim-Said Akademie
