Research Associate (m/f/div) in the areas of collaborative public management and public sector innovation, 20 hours/week

The Hertie School of Governance seeks to fill the following position:

Research Associate (m/f/div)on a part-time basis (20 hours/week)The post is for an initial 2 years period, with the possibility of extension. Starting date: 01.01.2019

 

 

Your tasks:

  • Conducting case study based empirical research in the areas of collaborative public management and public sector innovation
  • Liaising with public sector organisations in Germany for data collection purposes
  • Collecting and analysing data, and communicating about the findings in workshops and at conferences
  • Participating in the international TROPICO research consortium
  • Preparing research publications, research reports and policy briefs

 

 

Your profile:

  • An excellent university degree (Master or equivalent) in (Public) Management, Public Administration, Public Policy, Organization Studies, or a related field
  • Knowledge and affinity to public administration in Europe and preferably in Germany
  • Experience with empirical research, as evidenced by your master’s thesis, publications, research plans and other projects
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with experiences in writing research reports
  • An excellent command of both English and German
