International Admissions Coordinator – Spanish speaker, EF High School Exchange Year

EF Exchange Year is seeking an outgoing and motivated individual with a passion for international understanding and cultural exchange. As part of our team you will play an integral role in enhancing our program quality to deliver the experience of a lifetime to our students.

 

The role

EF Exchange Year coordinates the placement of international high school exchange students from around the world with volunteer American host families, as well as families in the United Kingdom and Ireland. As an International Admissions Coordinator, you’ll work directly with our global sales offices and are the primary contact for our students and their parents, assisting with the application, screening and reviewing applications in conjunction a with qualifications against set guidelines by US Department of State and EF. Connecting with students on all relevant communication channels including phone, e-mail, and social media, with limited in-person contact, the IAC is working through a minimum of four time zones.

In addition to vetting the applicants, the International Admissions Coordinator will be admitting students on our programs while ensuring program expectations, and preparation. In the dynamic, multi-cultural role, you act as the liaison between our European and Asian offices and our US, UK, and Irish based colleagues, as well as maintain the face of the admissions process for our customers. Travel to targeted markets (international and inter-continental).

 

 

About You

As a member of the dedicated and hardworking International Admissions team, this individual must be incredibly detail-oriented. The International Admissions Coordinator is great with relationships and is able to maintain professional working relationships across many cultures and time zones. Integrity and a passion for customer service and strong professional phone demeanor is incredibly important as you help move students through the application pipeline. In conjunction with the other members of the International Admissions team, you will determine final affiliate suitability and acceptance while at the same time ensuring that students and their parents remain well-supported and excited about their upcoming experience.

 

The position is operations-oriented and requires the ability to change priorities quickly and multi-task. We are looking for candidates who are committed to excellence in their daily work and able to manage a high volume of information while remaining productive in a fast-paced work environment. In addition, a focus on customer relations and quality results is a must. Your good sense of judgment along with your organization, attention to detail and communication skills will be imperative to your success in this position. This position works on a very independent basis with a wide range of audiences including customers,

 

 

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Must have native fluency in Spanish as well as proficient in English (C1-level). Other languages are a plus.
• Minimum four years professional working experience
• Strong sense of organization and attention to detail
• Problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Clear and effective communication skills – working as a liaise between sales and production
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Prior international travel required; living abroad a plus.
• Travel to target sales markets required in Europe as well as US, UK, and Ireland
• Think outside the box. Have the ability to create new processes and procedures based on data
• Enjoy a FUN and dynamic international working environment in the ever-growing international city of Berlin
